Overview
Technical Test Lead - Mainframe, Python skillsets – US relocation preferred. Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead/Technical Test Lead with Mainframe and Python experience to lead QA/test activities for telecom domain projects. As a QA Test Lead, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert, review the functionality of existing systems, conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy and design, and lead execution to guarantee high-quality outcomes. You will design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios and collaborate with team members to deliver defect-free solutions that meet client business needs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be substituted for each year of education. or willing to relocate. Travel within the US may be required. Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship (Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role). 4+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role. Mainframe and Python experience is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Exposure to cloud-native telecom solutions. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation. 4+ years of experience in automation and testing; skills in creating test strategy, test scenarios and test cases with hands-on technical knowledge. Strong domain knowledge in telecom systems. Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools. Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium). Experience in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Unix, Java, Python, Mainframe). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in offshore and onsite models. Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and engineers across telecom projects. Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases tailored to telecom systems. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met. Oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Manage defect tracking and resolution using tools like JIRA. Drive automation initiatives and maintain test automation frameworks. Ensure compliance with telecom standards and regulatory requirements. Define and execute test strategies for functional, UI/UX, compatibility, and functional testing. Provide regular QA status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement. Additional information The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per job requirements.
