We are currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting as we continue to expand.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in our accounting team, responsible for overseeing core accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and preparing accurate financial statements. Working closely with the Senior FP&A Analyst, you will help ensure timely and accurate financial data to support strategic business decisions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong accounting background who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies, implementing new standards and procedures as needed
Prepare and analyze financial reports and variance analyses, providing insights on financial performance
Collaborate with the FP&A team to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes
Manage revenue recognition, deferrals, and account reconciliations specific to SaaS, including ARR, deferred revenue, and other key metrics
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits
Work cross-functionally to improve and streamline accounting processes, including automation and software implementation
Support ad-hoc accounting and financial analysis projects to assist leadership with decision-making
Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring a robust and compliant accounting framework
Assist in preparing financial information for board reporting, investor presentations, and other external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
3+ years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, with experience in revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar is a plus) and advanced Excel skills
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working cross-functionally
