Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 19 and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees to have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and to receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on hours worked in the pay period. This job control is listed Until Filled. Under the general direction of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, CF, the Clinical Social Worker (Health/CF) Safety conducts assessments and summarizes case information to support diagnosis, treatment (level of care), and dispositional release. They diagnose and/or collaborate in formulation of a diagnosis; develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team. They provide assessments, group therapy, collateral conferences, and document and evaluate patients’ progress in treatment. Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Individuals who do not qualify for licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences may be admitted into the examination and may be appointed but must secure a valid license within four years of appointment with certain conditions. Completion of a master’s degree program from an accredited school of social work, approved by the Council on Social Work Education. California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking California-licensed clinical social workers to join our Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT). This statewide program provides integrated, specialized care to patients with a history of substance use requiring additional medical assistance.
