HR Business Partner- Florida Region. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Human Resources team of UtiliQuest, LLC as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). The HRBP reports to the Manager, Human Resources and partners with field operations Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in offices in the Florida region, supporting teams and employees throughout the Southeast. In this role, you must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, while supporting clients and managing your time efficiently. The successful candidate must have strong influencing skills and be willing to roll up your sleeves and do a deep dive into field operations in a construction environment to shape and drive cultural change. Our HR team supports employees company-wide, and we hold ourselves to high standards and expectations. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with strong work ethic, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. What You’ll Do
Serves as the point of contact for employees on HR related matters. Investigates employee relations concerns confidentially and maintains discretion in all matters. Identifies employee strengths, mentors and advises supervisors, managers, and directors to maximize business results. Demonstrates integrity and commitment to treat people with respect; interacts effectively with all levels of the organization; applies sound decision-making and problem solving. Maintains knowledge of state and federal employment law. Monitors daily leave management (FMLA, Workers’ Comp, Personal, Reasonable Accommodation). Supports Hiring Managers with identifying posting needs and hiring requirements; drafts and posts job listings in the Applicant Tracking System and recruitment platforms. Attends job fairs to recruit talent and partners with local community organizations. Maintains accurate recruitment files and proper disposition of candidates in the applicant tracking system. Screen candidates by phone to determine qualifications and assist managers with interview support. Coordinates with Center Administrative Assistants on pre-hire diligence, including background checks and drug screen status. What You’ll Need
To be 18 years of age or older. Authorization to work in the United States for this company. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resource Management or a related business discipline. 1-3 years of exempt level HR experience in a multi-state, multi-unit environment with a significant non-exempt population. Strong preference for experience managing a population of off-site/field-based employees. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the company. Working knowledge of ERISA, ADEA, COBRA, and other federal/state regulations governing benefits and employment. Experience with HRIS systems (UKG and iCIMS are a plus). Professional leadership presence, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with all levels of employees. Highly organized, efficient, goal-oriented, and detail-focused; high integrity and respect for others. Ability to understand key customer business units and become a trusted business partner.
