HR Business Partner
- Florida Region. UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a dynamic field human resources professional to partner with field operations Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in the Florida region. The
HRBP
reports directly to the Manager, Human Resources and plays a critical role in supporting teams and employees throughout the Southeast. The successful candidate must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, while supporting clients and managing time efficiently. Strong influencing skills and willingness to roll up sleeves to work in a construction environment to shape and drive cultural change are required. Our HR team supports employees company-wide and is held to high standards and expectations. We seek a self-motivated professional with strong work ethic, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. What You’ll Do
Serves as point of contact for employees on HR related matters. Investigates employee relations concerns and maintains confidentiality in all matters. Identifies employee strengths, mentors and advises supervisors, managers, and directors to maximize business results. Operates with integrity and a commitment to treating people with respect. Interacts effectively with all levels of the organization; demonstrates sound decision-making and problem solving skills. Knowledge of state and federal employment law. Monitors daily leave management (FMLA, Worker’s Comp, Personal, Reasonable Accommodation). Supports Hiring Managers with identifying posting needs and hiring requirements. Drafts and posts job listings in the Applicant Tracking System and other recruitment platforms. Assists with in-person recruitment activities, including attending job fairs and partnering with local community organizations. Maintains accurate recruitment files in the ATS and manages candidate dispositions. Screens candidates by phone to determine qualifications and assists managers with interview support. Coordinates with Center Administrative Assistants and oversees pre-hire diligence, including background checks and drug screens. What You’ll Need
18 years of age or older. Authorization to work in the United States for this company. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resource Management or a related business discipline. 1–3 years of exempt HR experience in a multi-state, multi-unit environment with a significant non-exempt employee population. Strong preference for experience managing off-site/field-based employees. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR record. Working knowledge of ERISA, ADEA, COBRA, and other federal and state regulations governing benefits and employment. Experience with HRIS systems (UKG and iCIMS a plus). Professional presence, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with all levels of employees. Highly organized, efficient, goal-oriented, with attention to detail. Demonstrated integrity and commitment to treating people with respect.
