Candidates must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills; provide top-notch client service; have experience with witness interviews, hearings, depositions, mediations; plus, enjoy working in a team environment where self-starters excel. Responsibilities

Provide client service through written and verbal communication, including evaluations, summaries, strategies, advocacy, updates, and counsel

Propound, respond to and assess written discovery and document production

Communicate with opposing counsel to negotiate issues, including settlement and pre-mediation and pre-trial disclosures

Prepare for and attend mediations, negotiate settlement, and prepare settlement documents

Hearing preparation including strategy; review and analysis of all factual and legal issues relating to compensability and disability

Prepare Pre-Trial Agreements, witnesses, exhibits, pre-Hearing and post-Hearing motions and supporting briefs

Appear before the Industrial Commission for hearings to present opening statements, conduct direct and cross examination; argue/defend motions; and deliver oral arguments

Conduct and defend depositions, including preparation of clients and expert witnesses, and preparation for examination of physicians and adverse expert witnesses

Prepare contentions, pleadings, motions and briefs, and perform legal research for complex matters in the Industrial Commission and state court

Collaborate and communicate effectively for successful team-oriented work

Maintain efficiency and organization to manage an active caseload

Demonstrate general technology proficiency (e.g., GenAI; billing software; Microsoft Suite; Outlook; legal research)
