Raytheon has an opportunity for a Manager, Contracts who will manage a significant portion of our rapidly growing portfolio and collaborate with top talent teams on contractual opportunities. The role involves customer communication, contract management, change management, invoicing coordination, and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The Manager, Contracts works with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers on program gate reviews, program management reviews, risk management, and other contractual matters. This position will have 1 direct report. Some domestic travel is required. This role is eligible for a Sign-On bonus. What You Will Do
Provide strategic advice and guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes and meet company objectives Represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships Partner with Key Program Functions in analysis of RFPs, development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, and general contract administration Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work aligns with the contract scope Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they arise Collaborate with cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals, and review cost structures for labor, materials, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks Some domestic travel will be required to meet with the customer Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years\' experience. Active and transferable final U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. Experience with U.S. Government contracts under FAR/DFARS and with contracts negotiation and administration of hardware and/or software development programs. Qualifications We Prefer
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification Experience in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization Proven time management and organizational skills Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and negotiations with the DoD What We Offer
