Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead core human resources functions within our organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources & Safety, this individual will oversee performance management, employee engagement, benefits administration, and payroll processes. The HR Manager will play a key role in shaping a positive and productive workplace culture, driving compliance, and partnering with leadership to support business goals.

This role is ideal for a strategic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and brings strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to the table.

Responsibilities

Performance Management: Lead the full performance management cycle including goal setting, annual appraisals, and performance improvement plans.

Employee Engagement & Culture: Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and reinforce company values.

Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering clear communication to staff.

Payroll Oversight: Supervise weekly payroll processing with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.

Policy Development & Compliance: Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbooks. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Employee Relations: Provide guidance to department heads on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

HR Reporting & Analytics: Track key HR metrics (turnover, headcount, engagement, etc.) and provide reports and insights to leadership.

Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee smooth onboarding for new hires and structured offboarding for departing employees, including exit interviews and documentation.

Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor changes in labor laws and ensure company practices remain compliant with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or HR management role.

Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and payroll practices.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll platforms (e.g., Paycom, ADP, BambooHR).

Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred (not required).
