Classification Title: CLIN AST/ASO/FULL PROF Job Description: The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a DNP or PhD in nursing with a background in psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, and/or family health nursing to fill full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE non-tenure track faculty positions. We are particularly interested in expertise in pediatric primary care. This position is primarily focused on teaching in the DNP program and teaching specialty courses in the BSN program. This position is located in Gainesville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position. Key Responsibilities: Teaching Teach didactic and clinical courses in the DNP and BSN programs Collaborate with faculty teaching teams to ensure excellence in course delivery Maintain clinical expertise, including credentials appropriate to specialty and teaching responsibilities Engage in professional development to enhance teaching Participate in curriculum development to enhance DNP and BSN programs and maintain excellent student outcomes Collaborate and/or lead scholarship related to clinical expertise or nursing education Service Provide professional service to college, university and profession commensurate with rank Practice Engage in clinical practice commensurate with clinical credentials Minimum Requirements: DNP from an accredited institution by date of hire For applicants holding EdD or PhD in nursing, master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution Recent clinical experience RN or APRN license. Florida licensure expected by date of hire Professional certification in area of expertise Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience Evidence of clinical scholarship Evidence of professional contributions to the nursing profession.
