University of New Mexico's College of Education and Human Sciences Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Educational Psychology Starting in August 2026 The Educational Psychology Program in the Department of Individual, Family, and Community Education at the University of New Mexico invites applications for an assistant professor (tenure-track) faculty position beginning August 2026. We seek a scholar whose research focuses on cognition and learning, and who brings a strong background in research methodology. Responsibilities include maintaining an active research agenda in cognition and learning, mentoring graduate students, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contributing service to the department, college, and the field. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in educational psychology or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Preferred Qualifications: Strong preparation and promise of scholarship in cognition and learning, including areas such as classroom learning, memory, learning strategies, self-regulation, meta-cognition and critical thinking, or similar topics. Ability to teach educational psychology courses at the collegiate level. Ability to advise and direct graduate student research. A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
