The Philanthropy Manager role is a vital part of our fundraising and donor engagement efforts, combining system oversight, donor portfolio management, event coordination, and administrative support. Additionally, this role manages donor communication, benefit fulfillment, and high-profile events, while also supporting a $72 million capital campaign. This position requires an individual with strong customer service, organizational, time management, and communication skills, high attention to detail, a hands-on mentality, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact philanthropic environment.
A successful candidate should possess:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Capacity to work independently as part of a strong team with fellow development colleagues, entire VVF staff, board members, and donors.
Excellent management and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with flexibility, and the capacity to generate innovative solutions and strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Eagerness to provide support to the greater Vail Valley Foundation staff as available and necessary.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Raiser’s Edge, and other fundraising and ticketing software systems.
