Akron Children's Hospital seeks a Pediatric Surgeon to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery. We are a dynamic academic division dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, education, and research. The position offers collaboration with six experienced colleagues, education of rotating general surgery residents, and robust support from a 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider service. Akron Children's Hospital is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our pediatric patients while fostering a culture of innovation, education, and collaboration. This is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government. Key Responsibilities
Provide expert surgical care to pediatric patients, including advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the growth of our programmatic offerings. Teach and mentor rotating general surgery residents, fostering their growth in pediatric surgery. Contribute to research and academic activities to elevate our division's academic profile. Qualifications
Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Surgeon Early or mid-career candidates are encouraged to apply A strong interest in academic pursuits, including teaching and research Proficiency in advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care Benefits
