Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Generalist to manage and oversee our organization's payroll processing and assist with HR functions. This role serves as a critical link between HR, Finance, and employees, ensuring compliance with payroll laws, company policies, and employment regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll processing, HR operations, and benefits administration. The position has a starting hourly rate of pay of $32.00.
Payroll
Payroll Processing: Manage and maintain payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions; including review and collection of missing punches, tax withholdings, benefit deductions, garnishments, and any other deductions. This also includes new hires, terminations, changes in pay, and any other bonus or pay related tasks. Payroll Reporting: Generating payroll reports and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage & hour laws. Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave & disability wages as needed. Payroll Audits: Auditing payroll records and ensuring accuracy. Facilitating audits by providing necessary records as requested by the Auditors. Manage internal, external, DOL, year-end processes, W2’s, ACA reporting, etc. Employee Inquiries: Answering employee questions about payroll; maintain the payroll general inbox. Other: Perform other duties as assigned; including periodic projects. Human Resources
Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave policies. HRIS: Maintain HRIS and ensure data integrity across systems. Assist with onboarding and offboarding process’ within portal. Training & Development: Assist with performance management, compliance training, and employee development programs. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, etc.) Talent Acquisition: Assist with managing job postings, pre-screening candidates, coordinating interviews with hiring managers. Other: Perform other duties as assigned; including periodic projects. Requirements 5+ years of experience in payroll and generalist HR functions Strong knowledge of payroll systems; Paylocity experience a plus! Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) In-depth understanding of labor laws and payroll regulations Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Work Environment/Schedule
Office setting with standard business hours (9am - 5pm); preferred schedule to be Sunday – Thursday rather than Monday - Friday Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
