Duties : Represent employers in workers' compensation cases, ensuring legal rights are upheld throughout the litigation process. Conduct comprehensive legal research to develop case strategies and support legal arguments. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs. Negotiate settlements for clients, utilizing in-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws. Collaborate with legal teams to maintain accurate case files and documentation. Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery and evidentiary hearings. Provide clear and effective communication with clients and team members. Requirements : Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law. Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently. Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw). Exceptional writing, drafting, and legal analysis skills. Strong negotiation capabilities and client management experience. Education : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications : Admission to the Virginia State Bar and a valid license to practice law. Skills : In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation law and litigation processes. Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills. Effective negotiation and case management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
