Apex Systems is looking for a benefits coordinator for a local client in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid position that will require 3x/ week on site. Pay rate will vary based on qualifications and experience ranging from $18-$22/ hr. As Benefits Specialist, you are responsible for assisting with the administration of all health and welfare benefit programs and retirement programs. Programs include, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401k and voluntary ancillary benefits. Job Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRMS and provide vendors with accurate eligibility and enrollment information. Assist with administration of the benefit plans and programs in accordance with company policies and federal and state laws and regulations. Respond to teammate benefit inquiries to the Benefits Inbox. Partner with 3rd Party administrators and Payroll to administer paid and unpaid leaves of absence in accordance with policies and applicable laws and regulations. Assist and provide guidance with benefits enrollment events including: New Hire, Life Events, and Annual Open Enrollment. Supports teammates regarding benefit claim issues and general questions about benefits. Assists with new hire benefit orientation as needed. Required Experience: Knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, DOL and applicable IRS regulations related to benefit plans and programs Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, E-mail, PowerPoint) 2+ years benefits/HR experience Nice to have: Workday experience V-look up experience Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
