JOB SUMMARY
This position provides support to Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. Field Service business leaders to enable continued business success and growth, to ensure the business has aligned talent & development programs, and to assist in creating strategic plans for the location and business.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and drive engagement strategies and culture initiatives for the Field Service business.
Coordinate entire recruitment process for the selection of high-caliber candidates for exempt, non-exempt, and field service technician positions to meet staffing plans and objectives. Administers multiple recruiting strategies – working with internal & external resources – from initial sourcing through assimilation for open positions.
Partner with Service Leadership team to build strategic plans to attain revenue and OP targets.
Provide employee relations support to managers/supervisors and employees to ensure complaints, discipline, performance management and corrective action procedures are handled in a fair, consistent and legally compliant manner.
Conduct investigations in response to employee allegations or management inquiries.
Work with designated managers, supervisors, and other HR team members to ensure that requests for HR services are met timely, accurate and efficiently.
Assist HR management in the development, revision, implementation and communication of company policies, procedures and administrative practices.
Administer and follow applicable PGEW policies and employment law regulations.
Engage 3rd party employment law counsel for review/advice on high-risk employment matters, as appropriate.
Support HR Director with corporate/divisional report, workforce analysis initiatives, Affirmative Action development and planning, compensation & benefit analysis and ad-hoc reporting for Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. management.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the field service environment, which will require a frequent presence in the field and may include working in some of the regional areas supported.
Form solid working relationships, based on a thorough knowledge of the business, with HR Corp team, Operations Managers/Supervisors, and other key site managers (Finance, Op Excellence, Quality, Commercial, EHS).
Develop and honed expertise in HR functional areas. Seek development opportunities to improve professional competencies and stay current on innovations in HR practices through benchmarking, networking and exposure to research/publications.
Embrace and demonstrate the Leadership Standards of Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc.
Develop and manage the HR Service budget
Champion the implementation of the annual Service social responsibility plan

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related degree
Demonstrated experience in a broad range of Human Resources functions, such as recruiting, benefits, compensation, training, performance management, employee relations
Minimum of 5 years of HR Manager experience
Experience managing a professional staff Knowledge of legal issues across HR arena; experience with inside/outside labor law counsel
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Prior experience working in a matrix organization supporting operations management and HR management
Education / Experience
7-10 years HR Manager experience
Demonstrated success working with government agencies or educational institutions to build relationships and help create talent programs
Experience supporting a predominately remote workforce
