Geotechnical Engineer (Civil/Environmental) – 5+ Years Experience
We are seeking a skilled
Geotechnical Engineer
with at least
5 years of experience
in civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering. This is a multi-level role ideal for professionals with expertise in
environmental remediation, brownfields, stormwater management, and CEQA/NEPA compliance . Candidates should have experience in—or a strong interest in pursuing— geotechnical engineering, site investigations, and materials testing. Our client is a well-established firm based in

Conduct
geotechnical site investigations , including drilling, soil sampling, and laboratory testing. Provide
engineering analysis and design
for foundations, retaining walls, roadways, and other infrastructure projects. Oversee
materials testing and inspections , ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Support
environmental remediation
efforts, including brownfield redevelopment and contaminated site management. Assess potential risks such as
landslides, erosion, and slope instability , and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare and review
technical reports , including Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and geotechnical assessments. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies on project planning and execution. Ensure compliance with
CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act)
for environmental assessments. Provide
construction oversight , including foundation and structural evaluations during project execution. Qualifications & Requirements:
5+ years of experience
in geotechnical, civil, or environmental engineering. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in
Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field . Experience with
geotechnical investigations, soil mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability analysis . Knowledge of
stormwater management, brownfield remediation, and environmental regulations . Familiarity with
CEQA, NEPA, and EIR processes . Proficiency in
AutoCAD, GIS, geotechnical modeling software, and other engineering tools . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and
report-writing skills . Ability to
work in the field
and oversee site investigations and construction activities. Excellent
communication and teamwork
skills. Preferred Experience:
Background in
structural design, materials testing, and construction supervision . Experience with
pipeline construction, water treatment, and sewer infrastructure . Understanding of
