Principal RFIC Power Amplifier Design Engineer

We are now looking for an experienced RF power amplifier (PA) design engineer to play a key technical role in the development of our emerging portfolio of single-chip Wi-Fi 7 front-ends in CMOS SOI technology with industry-leading power efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for the feasibility study, design, simulation, and layout of power amplifiers in our front-ends using state-of-the-art simulations tools. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree and 8+ years of related work experience Strong analogue circuit design skills, and experience performing analysis and simulation of both linear and non-linear circuits for power amplifiers and other related RF circuit blocks Knowledge about CMOS and/or Bipolar Silicon technologies Wireless communications knowledge: OFDM/OFDMA, 802.11, 4G and 5G Strong teamwork and communication skills Proficiency in Cadence schematic capture, layout and simulation tools Experience in EM simulations using tools as EMX, RFPro/Momentum and/or HFSS Proven track record in the design of power amplifiers for cellular or Wi-Fi applications Desirable Skills and Experience: 12+ years of experience with PhD degree is preferred Experience with various PA linearization techniques including digital pre-distortion Understanding and knowledge of concepts such as envelope tracking, tunable front-end components, and impedance tuning Lab experience to perform IC characterization and debugging Knowledge of data analysis and proficiency in software tools such as MATLAB and Python What is offered: Working with innovative technology Dynamic, fun and cool startup working environment A world-class RFIC team, with tremendous potential for creativity and ownership Opportunity to be a key contributor, with equity at an early company stage
