The people of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. They are responsible for planning, engineering, maintenance, construction, asset management, restoration, and emergency response related to PG&E's electric distribution and transmission systems. Position Summary

This classification is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 1245. The position may be subject to review and approval by the Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC). Provisional hires will participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level electrician knowledge. Note: Future employees hired into this classification in the San Francisco Division are eligible for a 15% pay premium and a 3-year bid lock. Divisions including Peninsula, De Anza, East Bay, and Mission are eligible for a 10% pay premium and a similar bid lock. General Construction (GC) Positions

Individuals must be able to travel and transfer to new headquarters across PG&E's service territory at any time, with no guaranteed duration at any location. Review and modify prints and schematics, lay out materials, and order supplies. Move equipment, perform safety preparations including high voltage grounding. Use power and hand tools for installation of electrical systems, conduit, steel, and more. Operate construction equipment if qualified, such as cranes, boom trucks, and forklifts. Remove old equipment and structures, drive equipment and vehicles, and maintain a clean work area. Overtime may be required. The starting wage rate for this position is $68.56 per hour, based on location and other factors. Qualifications - Minimum

Must be at least 18 years old. High School diploma or GED required. Valid California Class C Driver’s License required. Proof of successful completion of a Union Sanctioned JATC Inside Wireman Electrician Apprenticeship required. Ability to work in all weather extremes, travel, and work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to work in remote locations with potential exposure to environmental hazards. Ability to wear PPE, pass provisional training if applicable, and hold a CA CDL Class A Permit or equivalent. Desired Qualifications

3-5 years of journey-level experience in electrical construction. Experience with PG&E construction or utility work, electronic/mechanical equipment, instrumentation, motor control, substations, high voltage, and troubleshooting. Pre-Employment Testing
