We are on the hunt for an experienced Production Planning Supervisor to take the helm of establishing and diligently maintaining production plans and master schedules. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing daily manufacturing workloads, providing critical feedback to engineering and production teams, and delivering regular updates on manufacturing progress. Responsibilities: Collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving departments to ascertain the delivery schedules of purchased components necessary for subassemblies and finished products. Develop, coordinate, and streamline the manufacturing process for finished goods, subassemblies, or components. Implement production strategies that optimize inventory levels and production rates to ensure peak performance and minimal delays. Oversee production progression and proactively address delays by expediting material shipments or revising production schedules to accommodate labor shortages or other production constraints. Work with engineering and production teams to determine the sequential order for manufacturing and assembly tasks. Analyze, monitor, and report on the efficiency of the production schedule, leveraging data from material and production control systems. Manage and supervise the production planning team, ensuring they have the resources and direction needed to succeed. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures. Evaluate workforce, equipment, and raw material requirements to fulfill production demands. Compile and present status and performance reports, ensuring transparency and timely communication of production metrics. Assess open sales orders to ensure customer demands are met efficiently and effectively. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or a related field, with industry experience considered in lieu of formal education. Proficiency in MRP and ERP software, with a preference for candidates with NetSuite experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills paired with outstanding communication abilities. Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting various documents and reports, and effectively presenting information to relevant stakeholders.
