Responsibilities Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking to add a

Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE)/Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE)

to join our team. This position can be filled at Principal or Sr. Principal and will be located in Hawaii for approximately 2 years with possible training in Aurora, CO to start. Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

As an FSR, this position will be responsible for supporting the program. The ideal candidate would have the training, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of an Army 35T30 (Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator), or a 353T (Intelligence Systems Maintenance & Integration Technician).

Job Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software components including: Antennas; rack-mount servers; client workstations; routers and switches; associated power and communications cables

Software & Operating Systems: VMware (including ESXi, vSAN); Windows Server 2019; Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Windows 11; Cisco IOS; Active Directory and DNS; Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure

Coordinate for and support external interface integration, connection to network points of presence, and checkout/confirmation testing efforts

Apply operating system and software patches and updates on all prototype software and operating systems either independently or with reach-back support

Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays when required to meet Unit Operations and Training Requirements; may include travel to training sites

Create discrepancy reports (DR’s) and provide weekly status reports to factory in Aurora, CO.

Basic Qualifications

Principal:

5+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 3+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; OR 1+ Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM

Sr. Principal:

8+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 6+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 4+ Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM

Must have an Active TS/SCI DoD security clearance at the time of application , with eligibility/willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph if/when needed

Meet the requirements of DoD 8570.1-M at the IAT II or IAT III Level

Must have Security+ and be current with Continuing Education (CE) requirements: CCNA Security, GSEC, and SSCP or must able to obtain Security+ within 3 months of hire date

Must have at least 40 hours of documented training in two or more of the following computing environments: VMware version 6 or 7, Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, etc.), Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Servers, Cisco Networks

Familiarity with configuration of encryption devices

Experience with installation of containerized software systems using Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

5 or more years of operational experience supporting and maintaining RF antennas in a multi-INT environment, including imagery/GEOINT

Hold VMware VCP-DCV, version 6 or newer Certification and at least 1 other of the following: Microsoft: MCSA Windows Server 2012 or MCSA Windows Server 2016; Linux: Linux+, LPIC-1, or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
