Job Overview
M Health Fairview is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the NICU APP team at
M Health University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital . NICU locations include:
M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital ,
M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital ,
M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital , and
M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital . The NICU Physician Assistant works collaboratively with licensed physicians to provide comprehensive care to NICU patients and families. Responsibilities include independent decision-making regarding health care needs, managing complex NICU cases, diagnosing, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting tests, coordinating interdisciplinary care, planning discharges, and performing procedures within their scope of practice. Supportive work environment fostered by relationships with Neonatologists. Part of a team of 60 Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers across Fairview Health Services. Coverage at five metropolitan and suburban hospitals. Available 24/7 to assist with resuscitation, stabilization, and ongoing management of neonates. Part of neonatal transport team for patients from greater Minnesota. Utilizes fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC). Flexible scheduled hours, including some weekends. Part of a multidisciplinary team within a Pioneer ACO. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Board Certified/Eligible through NCCPA. Licensed or eligible for PA licensure with prescriptive authority in Minnesota. Ability to obtain DEA certification in Minnesota. Meet credentialing and privileges requirements. *Patient care experience in the NICU is required, including clinical rotations or relevant work experience.* Living in Minneapolis
