We are seeking a
Director of Engineering and Facilities
to protect, preserve, and enhance this legacy. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of the hotel, bringing structure, consistency, and leadership to every corner of our property. From maintaining life safety systems to guiding capital projects, you’ll ensure the hotel continues to shine while honoring its historic charm.
Bankers Alley Hotel is a cherished historic gem that has graced the heart of Nashville since its construction in 1900. With over a century of rich history, this establishment embodies timeless sophistication and luxury. Nestled in a picturesque alley, it has long been a sanctuary for travelers seeking an authentic and exceptional experience.
What will I be doing?
As
Director of Engineering and Facilities , you will direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members, supporting the hotel’s ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specific responsibilities include:
Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Conduct facility inspections
Assign, verify, and document routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system; manage energy management and preventive maintenance documentation
Lead, manage, and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor bidding standards
Direct daily department operations including guest service standards, product quality, inventory management, cost controls, systems use, budgeting and forecasting, compliance with standards, and meeting participation and facilitation
Monitor and develop team performance, including supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, and recognition
Recruit, interview, and train team members
