The Electrical Engineering Department within the College of Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking to hire four full-time Lecturers beginning September 11, 2025. Primary duties will be to teach undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineering courses in the areas of Digital and Computer Design Coursework, Electric Circuit Analysis, Electronic Design, Control Systems, Communication Systems, Power Systems, and Signal Processing. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - A Master of Science in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major (or B.S. in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major with applicable industrial experience) is required for lecture and lab courses. Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings, is required. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in electronic, electrical, computer science or computer engineering or related major and evidence of (or potential for) excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. SPECIAL CONDITIONS - The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
