About the Role:
The Afterschool Enrichment Student Worker supports the Enrichment Coordinator and Director of Strategic Programs by assisting with the day-to-day management of afterschool enrichment programs. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity for students who enjoy working with children in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
Schedule
: Temporary, Monday–Friday, 3:45 p.m.–4:45 p.m.
Responsibilities
Assist with planning and facilitating daily enrichment activities.
Support carpool drop-off and pick-up.
Participate in enrichment activities and assigned duties.
Enforce program rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Help maintain facilities and equipment, keeping areas clean and organized.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Supervise students during field trips, ensuring safe and positive participation.
Oversee and, when necessary, participate in pool supervision during swimming activities.
Position Requirements
At least 15 years of age.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
Ability to be flexible, resourceful, and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and service skills, with the ability to listen and respond effectively to student or parent concerns.
Flexibility with work schedule and hours as needed.
Availability to attend all three weeks of Sports and Games enrichment.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands.
Must occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.
