Job Description SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Health Sciences invites applications for two full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professors of Nursing (Family Nurse Practice). We anticipate appointing one candidate at the assistant or early associate level, and a second at the advanced associate or full professor level. The successful candidates will teach courses in our undergraduate and/or graduate programs, engage in research and scholarship, and take part in university and professional service. We are eager to hear from candidates with demonstrated commitments to both teaching and research, and a commitment to advancing SUNY Poly's strategic plan and our mission, vision, and values.

Description of Duties

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Nursing courses in online, hybrid, and on-campus modes, primarily in the Family Nurse Practitioner program, in a student-centered teaching environment within an evidence-based practice setting.

Engage in scholarship and service commitments.

Maintain an active professional Nursing practice.

Engage in professional or academic activities in campus-based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive impact and advance the recognition and reputation of the College and SUNY Poly.

Be actively involved in student advising and mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee services at all levels of the Institute.

Salary Ranges: Assistant Professor $90,000 - $95,000; Associate Professor $95,000 - $105,000; Professor $105,000+

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree or ABD or DNP in nursing or other applicable discipline from an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized organization. Doctoral candidates must demonstrate a reasonable expectation of completing the DNP or PhD within two years of employment.

National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Must be licensed and have active registration as RN/FNP in New York State.

Preferred Qualifications

Record of scholarship with potential for sustained contributions.

Experience teaching in online or hybrid learning environments.
