You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a 100% onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the automation landscape within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies Ring Laser Gyro and Inertial Measurement Unit factories by driving the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve our manufacturing performance. Your contributions will be vital in helping us maintain our competitive edge in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement advanced automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
Support and optimize existing automation systems for improved efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into production workflows.
Help develop and manage a pipeline of projects within a specific technology area for the Minneapolis RLG and IMU factories.
Understand the capital budget/schedule, manage Capital Planning System (CPS) requests and drive CPS execution.
Manage, design, implement and deploy automation projects, both hardware and software, that monitor and/or control the manufacturing process.
Create Statements of Work and Project Charters with hands-on collaboration with vendor(s) and integrator(s).
Ensure thorough risk analysis (via tools like PFMEA) to mitigate challenges with machine or process qualification steps.
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
5+ years of experience in automation engineering or related fields.
Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, and robotics.
Experience with system integration and troubleshooting of automation systems.
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to automation, such as Python, C++, or similar.
Additional Information
Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering) or EE (Electrical Engineering) are valued.
Experience in industrial automation and control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
