Overview
Interim Workday Payroll Analyst
Our client, a privately held, PE-backed SaaS company in the health and wellness space, is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Analyst to support a critical payroll systems optimization initiative.
This position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone. This engagement has an initial duration of 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension. This role will report to the VP Controller and work closely with the Accounting Team.
Responsibilities
Optimize Workday Payroll configurations, including earnings codes, tax setups, costing allocations, and integrations.
Support payroll operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations in NetSuite.
Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as RPA, APIs, and reporting dashboards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of payroll and payroll accounting experience, including 2+ years with Workday Payroll configurations.
Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and intercompany transactions.
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Proven success in leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
