Join our Team as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Orion180! Are you an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a passion for building and enhancing data driven solutions? Orion180 is looking for a hands-on RTE to lead and facilitate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across our enterprise. The RTE will act as a servant leader and coach for multiple Agile teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, removing impediments, and fostering continuous improvement. This role is critical in driving program execution, scaling agile practices, and ensuring value delivery to our customers. This includes implementing our releases to execute the business vision of Orion180 and to create the right balance of Agile methodology along with creating business value. Key Responsibilities
Facilitation & Execution Facilitate ART ceremonies (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, Inspect & Adapt workshops). Drive the execution of Program Increment (PI) objectives and ensure alignment to strategic priorities. Track and report on key ART metrics to stakeholders (e.g., predictability, throughput, quality). Leadership & Coaching Act as a servant leader, coach, and mentor for teams and leaders within the ART. Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and relentless improvement. Help teams and leadership understand and adopt Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. Identify, track, and manage cross-team dependencies. Proactively escalate and resolve risks and impediments impacting delivery. Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and Business Owners to maintain alignment on priorities. Drive process improvements across teams and ARTs. Facilitate Inspect & Adapt sessions to capture learnings and implement improvements. Support adoption of agile tooling and metrics for greater visibility and efficiency. Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in software delivery, with 3+ years in a Release Train Engineer, Program Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead role. Experience working in large-scale Agile environments, preferably SAFe. Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles. Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and servant leadership skills. Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies, and program-level delivery. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps). Certifications (Preferred)
SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP Education
BS in Computer Science or related data discipline(s).
