Vaco is assisting their Memphis-based client with their search for a Senior Financial Analyst.
Overview:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting financial operations, managing liquidity, and supporting budgetary planning and cost control. Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cash positions, forecast cash flow requirements, and manage liquidity to ensure the company’s operational needs are met efficiently. Analyze and recommend investment opportunities to optimize the company’s portfolio and return on investments. Identify and assess financial risks related to interest rates, foreign exchange, and other market variables. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding treasury operations. Prepare and present detailed reports on cash flow, liquidity, and investment performance to senior management. Assist in the development of annual budgets, including gathering data, forecasting, and coordinating with various departments. Analyze costs associated with company operations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. Create and maintain financial models to support budgetary decisions and strategic planning. Track and analyze financial performance against budgetary targets. Provide variance analysis and insights to management. Prepare regular financial reports and presentations related to cost and budget performance for review by management. Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus. 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, with demonstrated expertise in both treasury and cost/budget analysis roles. Key Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
