Job Description
Metro Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Recovery Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing charged-off accounts and working directly with members to achieve full repayment or reach equitable settlement agreements. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering member-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct negotiations with members to secure repayment of charged-off accounts, aiming for full recovery or satisfactory settlement. Recommend accounts for litigation when appropriate, ensuring timely action to avoid statute limitations and maximize recovery. Monitor internal collection accounts, queues, and dashboards weekly to track performance and escalate non-performing accounts to management. Utilize skip tracing and asset search tools to locate members and identify assets that support recovery efforts. Assess member eligibility for specialized Recovery products and present appropriate solutions. Review and analyze assigned accounts daily, determining the most effective collection strategies. Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned by management.
