Overview
The Senior Lead, Commitment Management is a pivotal leadership role within Citi's Chief Data Office (CDO), specifically situated within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) organization. This role is instrumental in driving the execution of Citi's Data Transformation initiatives. The primary mandate is to strategically support the remediation, successful closure, and post-closure validation of critical Data Commitments, particularly those arising from regulatory or consent order obligations. As part of the EO&T division, the EDO leads an enterprise-wide effort to transform and strengthen Citi's data landscape, modernize data infrastructure, simplify the data operating model, and execute key strategic priorities. The EDO defines and enforces data-related policies and standards, empowering Citi to own and manage robust data governance and data management. Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Challenge: Act as a liaison, translating execution-level details into strategic impact assessments. Independent challenge and assessment of commitment outcomes against predefined success criteria, ensuring alignment with the Quarterly Progress Report, Path to Closure and Path to Target State. Inter-Commitment Synergy: Identify and facilitate alignment and dependency management across Consent Order commitments, fostering stakeholder collaboration to maximize efficiency. Expert Guidance & Oversight: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data policies and transformation commitments, providing support and oversight for Data Transformation programs and initiatives. Commitment Scoping & Review Leadership: Lead end-to-end commitment scoping documents and coordinate reviews with Lines of Defense (LoD) stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness. Executive Reporting & Support: Support the completion of tollgate executive summaries for review by the Executive Management Team (EMT). Progress Monitoring & Closure Management: Monitor progress of commitment execution and drive closure, post-closure validation, and remediation to ensure sustained compliance and effectiveness. Qualifications
10+ years of experience; Banking or Finance industry preferred in Data Governance, Data Management, Process Engineering, or related areas. Effective communication skills; ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications, drive consensus, and influence at all levels. Collaborative mindset; builds partnerships and works well with others to meet objectives. Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management across diverse stakeholders. Ability to optimize work processes with a focus on continuous improvement; balance between big picture and attention to detail. Organizational savvy; understands systems and management processes and knows where to find information. Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance, and Data Compliance within large financial services firms. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Education
