Summary: This position is a member of the Decision Support team, which is dedicated to identifying improvements in the financial performance of Baptist Health through core functions of: maintaining a decision support/cost accounting system, developing and reporting financial statistics, reporting service line profitability, identification of clinical/financial variation, performing financial planning through forecasting and capital management, performing department and entity-level financial reviews, supporting formal performance improvement processes through tracking and analysis, and labor management. The position will work on the capital management and financial planning functions of the department in order to gain experience and exposure on a path to becoming a subject matter expert in health forecasts and capital management. This is a staff-level position that works closely and interact with Decision Support Team Leadership, other Finance positions, as well as operational leadership. Must possess strong problem solving abilities, analytical skills, and a desire to learn. A high level of communication and technological skills is required, as well as the ability to work in teams. Other information: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required with two years of comparable work experience preferred. Strong Microsoft Office Suite and system analysis skills required. Ability to effectively interact with other project staff members that may be financial and non-financial. This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly. Connect With Us
