Program Overview: Our formal 9 to 10-week internship programs provide students with the opportunity to work on critical projects integral to our team's success. Interns work alongside some of the best minds in Real Estate, in an innovative, fast-paced environment and are expected to approach tasks and projects with dedication and initiative.

Our internship program connects students with industry leaders and provides foundational real estate knowledge through a speaker series and networking events. We focus on accelerating growth with hands-on professional development and training. Recognizing that real estate thrives on relationships, we create an engaging experience with volunteering, portfolio tours, and intern led activities, all designed to build collaboration and a connected cohort.

Responsibilities

Support the Related Fund Management credit team in evaluating and executing new and existing debt investments across the United States.

Learn how to provide debt financing, structured as mezzanine loans and debt-like preferred equity, to sponsors of commercial real estate.

Learn how to develop cash flow projections utilizing Argus and Excel.

Perform financial analysis and due diligence for new and existing debt investments.

Prepare Investment Committee memos outlining investment rationale, deal returns, and key execution risks.

Support asset management through review of quarterly reporting and loan compliance.

Participate on broker calls/meetings and property tours when available.

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Work both independently and collaboratively with other teams within RFM.

Compensation:

The hourly compensation for this position is $45.

Qualifications

Current undergraduate junior with a target graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate Finance, Economics, or other related fields.

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel.

Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job-specific knowledge.

Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Self-starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA.
