Assist with research of tax issues, tax positions, and tax developments on various tax matters and makes recommendations based upon research. Maintains tax systems, tax files, and tax work-papers to comply with internal and external tax reporting guidelines independently. High working knowledge of tax compliance and process for tax reporting. Prepares tax provision workpapers in accordance with ASC740 and prepares workpapers to support tax returns. Identifies opportunities for tax savings and potential deductions. Collects, organizes, and analyzes financial data and assesses the impact of new tax laws. Collaborates with internal teams (e.g. accounting, finance) and external auditors. Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in tax at a Big Four preferred. Education: Minimum required: Bachelor's Degree In Accounting or Finance. CPA required. Preferred: Master’s Degree In Accounting or Finance, a plus. About Transocean
