BOOKKEEPER
Our company is located in Miami/Kendall. The company is a family-owned business and has been in operation for over 40 years. We dedicate ourselves to selling and servicing large commercial diesel engines for mostly marine applications. We service them worldwide, with offices in Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Spain.
Our location has approximately 15,000 square feet of warehouse and 4,000 square feet of office space.
Role Objective: Keep all accounting and financial information correct and up to date in the system and any related paperwork well organized. Assist and work together with CFO to ensure all accounts payable and receivables are up to date and achieve timely month-end closing.
Role Summary:
Manage accounts and maintain detailed transactions Keep all accounting and finances up to date in Quickbooks and maintain proper records Complete month-end balance sheets Monthly review of overseas office accounts Manage and audit company credit cards Manage and process payables, keeping all accounts payable up to date and assist CFO with scheduling payments Prepare customer invoices, follow up on receivables until payment is received, and work with Fulfillment Specialist to verify customer account status for order release Work on all other tasks related to accounts payable and receivable as needed, including maintaining updates in Quickbooks Assist management and the team both in Miami and abroad with any required tasks Assist CFO with any tasks related to accounting or other business-related activities Generate accurate financial reports upon request of CEO, CFO, management, or CPA Manage the office's petty cash
Qualifications:
Completed Education: College degree in Accounting Areas of study/concentration: Accounting, Business Administration Previous experience: At least 3 years of related experience in similar roles Hard skills: Advanced use of Microsoft Office Package, Quickbooks Soft skills: Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), teamwork and collaboration, excellent attention to detail, interest in continuous process improvement, willingness to learn, ability to work without supervision, and capability of managing multicompany processes Languages: Advanced English, advanced Spanish
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to):
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Per Year #J-18808-Ljbffr
