Mesa Global’s Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations and accounting functions of the organization. Their primary responsibilities are maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data and managing the Finance team. About Mesa Global

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure GAAP standards and reporting compliance. Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements. Provide supervision to the Finance team members. Assist Mesa Global’s leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process. Provide monthly and annual reporting to leadership and department managers. Communicate any significant variances to budget to the COO/CFO and others as needed. Manage cash flow and decision-making in concert with the COO/CFO. Implement and maintain internal systems and controls. Monitor and provide reporting on the investment portfolio. Assist leadership/management in overseeing project/program grants and providing financial reporting of the same. Serve the Board of Directors Finance Committee by preparation for and participation in meetings. Coordinate the audit process in conjunction with the external auditors. Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources in analyzing and approving the costs of benefit plans and annual employee salary changes. Oversee processes, agreements, and contractual arrangements related to finance. Implement continuous improvements in finance processes, including assuring the organization has adequate software and financial reporting systems. Assist the Audit Committee’s oversight of risk assessment by providing periodic reports and/or highlighting areas of concern. Perform other duties and special projects that are relevant or assigned. Qualifications

Growing Christian disciple who seeks God first and demonstrates a strong commitment to the local church and global mission. Fully affirms and upholds Mesa Global’s Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, Values, and Policies. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Nonprofit experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred. Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and accountability, willing to take responsibility for finance. Technology savvy with experience learning, using and evaluating financial software. Strong organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail and a consistent focus on meeting deadlines. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Location
