Description
Assist the compliance manager of Special Revenue Funds Management to support districtwide educational initiatives. Assist with the compliance oversight process, budget development, and compliance training for administrators and campus personnel. Position is to ensure district remains in compliance to federal and state regulations of federal and state guidelines.
Assist with budget development of ESSA funds.
Monitor Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) to ensure compliance with ESSA guidelines and to ensure alignment with the District Improvement Plan (DIP), as needed.
Provide information to administrators, office managers and office clerks regarding ESSA updates and procedures.
Provide training to administrators, office managers and office clerks on proper management of grant funds.
Audit Title I campuses to ensure compliance to federal and state required Title I activities.
Analyze campus Title I budget to assist campus principal and/or administrative staff efficiently and compliantly manage their Title I budget.
Amass and compile data for grant application and compliance reports.
Review and process required district documentation such as budget transfers, staff development travel reports, bus invoices for fieldtrips and position change request forms.
Analyze proposed Title I expenditures to ensure adherence to Title I guidance and regulations.
Reconcile Title I positions as well as collaborate with Human Capital Management and assist with the implementation of a monthly position analysis and salary monitoring process.
Assist in reconciliation of grant funded employee’s payroll transactions and distribution of monthly/semi-annual certifications.
Support compliance of Title I recipients through ESSA and district procedures training.
Keep abreast of technical, legislative, and professional developments, state and federal laws and accounting principles that affect district ESSA funding and other assigned responsibilities.
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate. This position is 100% funded by Title I, Part A
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required Three years' related experience Knowledgeable of Every Student Succeeds Act federal legislation Knowledgeable of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Ability to interpret the meaning of information for others and analyze policy and financial data Ability to monitor and control resources Ability to evaluate information to determine District compliance with budgetary standards Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Oracle
