Work With Us 30 July 2025 Last Updated: 30 July 2025 Hits: 626 Ratings (0) Share Location:AVWA Offices Reports to:Executive Finance and Corporate Services Manager Employment type: Full-time The Account Receivable Officer will manage the invoicing process, ensure timely and accurate processing of ADS claims, and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records. You will be responsible for account reconciliation, including managing AR accounts and Internet Banking (IB). Whatwe are looking for: Invoicing and Billing Management: Generated monthly client's statement/ Individualised budget statement, ensuring completeness and accuracy of invoices and payments. Generate invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Ensure all invoices are compliant with regulatory requirements. Maintain an organised system for tracking all invoices and billing records. ADS Claims Processing: Manage the end-to-end process of ADS claims, including submission, follow-up, and resolution of any discrepancies. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and resolve any related issues or queries. Stay updated on changes in ADS guidelines and adjust processes accordingly to ensure compliance. Accounts Receivable (AR) Reconciliation: Reconcile all accounts receivable transactions, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. Prepare detailed AR aging reports and other financial reports for management review. Payment Collection and Follow-Up: Monitor outstanding accounts and proactively follow up with clients to ensure timely payments. Implement and maintain effective credit control processes to minimise overdue balances. Collaborate with clients and internal departments to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies. Bank Reconciliation and Cash Management: Perform regular bank reconciliations, including Internet Banking (IB) transactions, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete. Monitor cash flow and report any variances or issues to the Executive Finance and Corporate Services Manager. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to accounts receivable. Provide detailed analysis and insights on AR performance and trends to support decision-making processes. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other finance team members and departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Communicate effectively with clients to address any queries or concerns regarding invoices, payments, or account status.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all accounts receivable processes are compliant with company policies and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate and organised documentation for all AR transactions, including invoices, receipts, and correspondence. The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of AVWA. Any other relevant duties as reasonably required by the management. Who you are: Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance. Prior experience in a financial administrative role. Experienced in building rapport with people at all levels of the organisation. Prior experience with accounting systems. Strong knowledge in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. Excellent communicator and ability to maintain strong stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
