The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a terminal degree in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, or a closely related area. Candidates nearing completion of the terminal degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than the start date. Candidates must have the ability to successfully teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology. They must demonstrate a line of professional and scholarly inquiry as evidenced by submission of peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations commensurate with academic experience. Candidates must also provide evidence of their commitment to, or experience, promoting and fostering an inclusive learning environment that is supportive of diverse learners. Responsibilities
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. These include: Delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses in identified areas of need within the department (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Principles of Strength and Conditioning, etc.) Developing an independent line of scholarship leading to peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, including serving on master’s culminating project committees Contributing to the goals of the department and university through service on committees and working collegially with faculty How to Apply
