Your role involves collaborating with a team to develop high-value solutions for passengers and crews. Responsibilities
Under moderate supervision, responsible to achieve the cost budget, schedule, scope of work, product definition, and weight target related to engineering for moderate to complex projects they oversee. Work closely with Design Engineering, Certification, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to lead and coordinate projects within the definitions of the airframe manufacturer and airline specifications, regulatory requirements, SSUSA requirements. Develop engineering schedules that support the organization\'s requirements, airframe and customer requirements. Ensure the engineering budget is maintained. Engage with internal resources to secure commitments from functional leaders for needed resource allocations. Collaborate with other project engineers. Monitor project performance, document issues, and coordinate team efforts to keep projects on schedule and deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Monitor and track project changes to ensure non-recurring budgets are revised appropriately. Coordinate project completion with affected groups. Provide mentorship of less experienced Associate Project Engineers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor of Engineering in Material Science, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree. Work Experience - Technical knowledge:
5 years of experience in engineering related field, with at least 2 years in project management. Professional Skills:
Proven expertise in leading multiple projects; experience developing and maintaining project plans, resource models, risk logs, issue logs, status reports, and other project-related assets; strong relationship management, negotiation, conflict management, and ability to manage multiple objectives; strong sense of accountability and ownership; intermediate design skills; proven problem solving; budget and risk management knowledge; scope management awareness; proficiency with MS Office; preferred knowledge in Earned Value Management and Lean Principles; awareness of current aircraft industry standards and applicable FAA and CAA/JAA rules; ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment; ability to read and review written communication; clear English communication (spoken and written). Behavioral Skills:
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects; good planning and prioritizing skills. Desirable Aspects:
