Overview

Psychology. Assistant Professor of Psychology, tenure-track position, to start in September, 2026. Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and excellence in teaching and mentoring. All faculty are required to participate in an interdisciplinary general education program, including a regular rotation in the two-semester first-year program, which features a common curriculum. Successful applicants will demonstrate their interest in these courses and their commitment to a student-centered undergraduate education grounded in the liberal arts. Responsibilities

Teach seven courses per academic year, including Perspectives in Mental Health (previously known as Abnormal Psychology), Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, and courses in the area of interest and expertise of the applicant. Ability to teach advanced statistics and methodology courses for our Bachelor of Science track would strengthen an application. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest and ability to develop an active program of research with undergraduate student involvement. Application materials
