Golf Course Superintendent . Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Key Responsibilities of the Golf Course Superintendent: Prepares and maintains the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. Plans, organizes, and directs the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers. Supervises planting and cultural practices involved in growing turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plants. Ensures maintenance equipment is properly maintained. Procures supplies and materials within budgetary limits. Keeps records of maintenance activities and costs; prepares reports. Implements sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possible. Reconciles and codes invoices, payroll, and other documents promptly. Coordinates snow removal as needed, depending on location. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations. Ensures staff obtain proper training and licenses for safe job performance and environmental compliance. Ensures proper mixing, calibration, and application of chemicals and fertilizers. Manages department members, including Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician. Provides effective orientation and ongoing training for staff. Incorporates safe work practices in all job activities. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference for degrees in agronomy, horticulture, or soil science. Valid Driver’s License required. Other Qualifications: Possesses a Pesticide License. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Compensation:
