Computer and Information Research Scientist - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR21) CONTRACT CONTINGENT position in CONUS - Oklahoma City, OK. ProSidian is a management and operations consulting firm focusing on risk management, compliance, business processes, IT effectiveness, energy & sustainability, and talent management. Our multidisciplinary teams support private companies, Fortune 1000 enterprises, and government agencies with a broad range of engagements. ProSidian seeks a Computer and Information Research Scientist to support requirements for Aerospace Medical Research Services and to work as part of a team in support of Aerospace Medical Research efforts for aerospace and defense sector clients, including the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI).

Responsibilities

Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorist and designer of aeromedical information systems. Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software as it relates to aeromedical issues. Utilize high performance computing assets and large databases (big data). Develop a web-based log-in user-defined Geographic Information System that integrates data from several aeromedical and other databases within and outside the Division for Aeronautical Data Visualization Operational Reporting Safety System. The system should enable real-time data display, search, view, update, queries, analyses, and visualization of regional assets (e.g., Aviation Medical Examiner and accident locations). Collaborate to support requirements for Aerospace Medical Research Services and contribute to deliverables and core mission functions. Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field OR an M.S. with 2 additional years of relevant experience. Degree must be from an accredited university. Experience: At least 5 years combined experience in graphical information systems and displays; analyses of problems to develop integrated solutions involving computer hardware and software; applying theoretical expertise to create or apply new technology; systems analysis and systems evaluation; programming; development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of scientific information technology and information systems and applicable software systems relating to medical informatics, including knowledge of healthcare industry information codes (e.g., ICD 9/10) and HIPAA. U.S. Citizenship Required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe. All staff must be eligible for a Facility Access Authorization and able to meet security requirements; may be required to obtain varying background investigations up to Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance. Security clearance requirements apply to engagement teams handling sensitive federal engagements. Core Competencies & Other Requirements
