General Description Salary: $20-$30 per hour PREP Research Associate This position is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Professional Research Experience (PREP) program. NIST collaborates with academic institutions through PREP awards, enabling staff to work on scientific research projects of mutual interest. Employees in this role will perform technical work supporting these collaborative research efforts. The work will entail: Identifying and developing metrics for NIST's Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives to evaluate industrial adoption and impact. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Familiarizing with NIST's AI outputs and stakeholders Conducting literature reviews and analysis on approaches and metrics for measuring AI uptake and impact Applying statistical tools to analyze the status and adoption of NIST AI outputs, providing metrics on impacts and trends Offering recommendations on areas where NIST can focus resources to enhance the impact of its AI outputs Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business/Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Familiarity with artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and data collection Understanding of American government and politics Strong oral and written communication skills Application Instructions Please upload the following with your application: CV/Resume (limit to 3 pages, only include a valid email address; do not include personal information such as phone number, home address, citizenship status, languages spoken, or gender) Self portraits Phone number Home address/Country Citizenship status Languages spoken Sex/Gender Privacy Act Statement Authority:
