PREP Research Associate
Salary: $20-$30 per hour
This position is part of the
National Institute of Standards (NIST) Professional Research Experience (PREP) program . NIST collaborates with academic institutions on research projects, requiring that such institutions hold a PREP award. Employees will perform technical work supporting scientific research. Responsibilities include: Identifying and developing metrics for NIST's AI efforts to assess industrial uptake and impact. Reviewing literature and analyzing approaches to measure AI uptake and impact. Using statistical tools to analyze the status and trends of NIST AI outputs and providing impact metrics. Recommending areas for NIST to focus resources to enhance AI impact. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business/Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Familiarity with AI, statistical analysis, and data collection. Understanding of American government and politics. Strong communication skills.
