The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for part-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Practice, in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry. Primary responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics curricula. Responsibilities

Provide didactic and clinical instruction in pre-doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics curricula. Participate in teaching activities consistent with division goals. Promote evidence-based teaching skills in an education setting and maintain a track record of scholarly activity. Demonstrate a passion for student education and effective teaching through student and peer reviews. Apply advanced technology to enhance teaching and learning. Support a dental education model that incorporates innovative technologies, interdisciplinary education and patient care, and evidence-based clinical dentistry. Provide interdisciplinary mentoring to students and encourage collaboration between college divisions. Maintain active involvement in professional organizations and contribute to professional activities outside the university. Demonstrate alignment with The Ohio State University Shared Values. Education and Experience Requirements

Required:

DDS/DMD or equivalent. Eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Information on state dental licensure is available at dental.ohio.gov/Licensure/Dentist. Desired:

Preference for teaching experience and experience with advanced digital technology in dental education and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable. How to Apply

The Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry includes Operative Dentistry, Dental Anatomy, Occlusion, Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry, Digital Dentistry, and Dental Materials Science. The College of Dentistry is the state’s only state-supported dental school and educates more than 60% of the state’s dentists.
