Goal of the Banquets Manager
The Banquets Manager effectively monitors daily operations of the Events Department, providing support and guidance to the banquet team, Catering and Convention Services team, Convention Services floor department, and Banquet Beverage. The role involves close communication with all hotel departments to ensure successful events and positive guest experiences. Responsibilities
Support and manage the Banquet Department in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Director and other departments, including Convention Services Setup and Banquet Beverage. Supervise, empower, lead, coach, and motivate the banquet team to deliver exceptional guest service and staff engagement. Assist the hotel in achieving top service scores through effective communication and review of Banquet Event Orders, ensuring timely setup and adherence to standards. Review staffing and equipment needs proactively. Coordinate and execute events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor, and Beverage teams. Maintain a high-energy, professional appearance and environment. Manage short- and long-term banquet functions both front and back of house. Create an environment of high-quality service, supporting hiring, training, development, and ongoing reinforcement. Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, reports, forecasts, POS procedures, inventory, and budget management. Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health regulations and Hyatt standards. Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions. Benefits
