POSITION OVERVIEW The Department of Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice Administration (LPS) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026. The successful candidates will teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate program including Research Methods and a variety of courses for the department’s majors and minors. The hiring committee is especially interested in applicants who contribute to the diversity mission of the college through their teaching, leadership, community service, research, and/or lived experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must have a PhD or J.D. in a related field at the time of appointment. Also required is the ability to teach successfully, a willingness to participate in course and program development, potential for research and academic publication, and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. COMPENSATION $57,252 - $109,025. Salary commensurate with education and credentials.
