The University of West Georgia is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of History Education in the School of Humanities with a start date of August 2026. Preferred Experience
: record of teaching history/social studies at the secondary (grades 6-12) level. Preference will be given to candidates who express an ability and desire to teach cross-listed courses, particularly with English, courses in digital humanities, or ones offering interdisciplinary approaches to the humanities. Required Education
: earned Ph.D. in History or History Education by July 31, 2026 Required Experience
: record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level
